Organised by The Robot Needs Home Collective.
Eclectic and illustrious Japanese group Boris will be bringing their own signature brand of avant-garde music that transcends labels to Leicester.
With 25 studio albums over a career spanning 27 years, Boris have experimented with psychedelic rock, stoner metal, crust punk, shoegaze and pop, just to name a few. They’ve also collaborated with musicians such as fellow Japanese noise artist Merzbow, British drone metallers Sunn O))) and The Cult’s Ian Astbury.
What their set will consist of is anyone’s guess, but it’s probably safe to say they’ll be playing material from their latest release LφVE & EVφL, set to be released on October 4th, which they describe as “encapsulating conflicting connotations that interweave and become intricately entangled with one another, gradually eroding before becoming utterly singular.”
Norwegian noise-rock band Årabrot will be joining Boris at the Y Theatre on December 15 for a night that’s sure to be truly memorable.
