Music in Leicester’s Gig of the Month
Organised by Magic Teapot
Sometimes Leicester gets treated to something special and this is it!
Holy Moly and The Crackers are a band who are tipped for the top. From their humble alt-folk beginnings, the Newcastle scallywags have exploded into ‘riotous party music for the masses’, an uninhibited blend of pop, punk, folk, and gypsy soul. They have toured the world, are a regular feature in the UK’s top festivals, and recently hit the charts with their single ‘Cold Comfort Lane’, featured in a popular car advertisement. To quote the mighty Frank Turner “Do yourself a favour and catch Holy Moly live”.
Sharing the stage are Leicester favourites, The Brandy Thieves. Recently chosen as one of the top 20 UK festival acts to see this year, the Thieves bring their own style of firebrand gypsy punk infused folk n’ roll. The band are renowned for their fun fuelled intense performances and beautiful mix of styles. Well worth the ticket price alone. Brought to you by legendary Leicester promoter, Magic Teapot, support on the night comes from Sheffield collective, Buffalo Skinners.
Holy Moly and The Crackers + The Brandy Thieves play Wednesday 10th April at The Musician, Clyde Street. Advance tickets are priced at £10 and are available from SeeTickets
