Since their debut single in 2013, Honeyblood’s combination of alternative DIY rock/pop with charms of 90s Riot Grrrl, got signed up to FatCat Records, supported various acts including Palma Violets, Sleigh Bells and Deap Vally and produced two albums with the third one, In Plain Sight, being released on May 24th. Featuring both melody and hooks of Best Coast, Haim and the darker twist of The Breeders and PJ Harvey, Honeyblood found their unique sound somewhere in between, inspired by ‘girls fending for themselves’ (as they told The Guardian), hedonism and tarot symbols.
FEET evolved from being a ‘distraction for its members from their endless bowls of pasta’ and ‘a boozy side project’ to one of the most interesting indie garage rock bands on the scene. Having toured Europe, countless gigs across the UK and posed as hippies in a video to their newest single, English Weather, they continue to surprise with their cross-genre voice of authenticity and a kick of totally punk life confusion.
Honeyblood will possess Leicester with their strange fuzz rock magic and support from FEET on Thursday, 2nd May at The O2 Academy.
