Leicester indie band The Heroes played a special once-only reunion gig. It was the first time that the band had played together since 2010.
The show, held at The Shed, saw the four musicians perform the songs which made them famous and drew a huge following of fans.

The biography of the band
The Heroes… in golden times
Between their first gig in 2007 and their last in 2010, The Heroes notched up a list of achievements that was second to none: they played at Glastonbury festival, they won the OBS, they opened Summer Sundae, they reached the national finals of Surface Unsigned… in their day they were one of the most successful and popular bands from Leicester.
Since then, The Heroes’ lead singer Alex Totman, and bassist Ali Lee, went on to form his own band – Selby Court. Guitarist Alex Van Roose became the lead singer of Midnight Wire, the band he created (they are now a very popular Leicester group.)
On the night of 11th July, a biography of The Heroes as published at the gig, held at The Shed. Written by author and journalist Trevor Locke, the book The Heroes… in golden times the story of a band tells the story of the band, their rise to stardom and the ups and downs of their life during their hey day.
The Heroes – in golden times by Trevor Locke will be on sale on this website. The 41 page book had a limited print run (only 50 copies) and will be a collector’s items for fans of the band. Details of how to order it will be placed here soon.
